Batter Up: MLBAM Beginning To Market '11 Subscriptions For MLB.tv

MLBAM has begun to market '11 subscriptions to MLB.tv, its out-of-market-game package that is the flagship of its paid content offerings. Pricing has remained flat from '10 -- $119.95 for a premium-level version with elements such as home and away team broadcast feeds and DVR-type controls and $99.95 for the basic-level version. Similar to last year, a single subscription will be usable on personal computers, Sony PlayStation 3, Roku and Boxee devices, and a variety of mobile platforms including iPhone, iPad and Android devices, provided a user has also purchased the MLB.com At Bat mobile application. MLB.tv is also accessible this year through LG and Samsung Internet-connected TVs. The product last season hit the 1 billion mark in live streams served over its nine-season history, 25% of which were registered during the '10 season alone.
