Charitable donations were up from $4.3M in '09 (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 10/7)....Eagles WR DESEAN JACKSON has “received a resolution” from the city of Philadelphia, “recognizing him for the work of the DeSean Jackson Foundat10n in raising awareness about pancreatic cancer and working to find a cure” (PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS, 10/7).

NAMES: NASCAR Media Group, ESPN and The 909 Group Founder MAX SIEGEL are "teaming up" for a movie about WENDELL SCOTT, the "first black NASCAR driver and race winner." The film will air on ESPN in February as part of Black History Month (ROCK HILL HERALD, 10/7)....NASCAR and Coca-Cola starting Nov. 18 will host a two-day fan fest in Miami featuring a free concert headlined by the Zac Brown Band. The fan fest will be held in conjunction with the Nov. 21 Ford 400, the final race of the Chase for the Sprint Cup. The concert will be streamed live on NASCAR.com (NASCAR)....The World Golf HOF in May will induct former President GEORGE H.W. BUSH, alongside golfers ERNIE ELS, JUMBO OZAKI, DOUG FORD and JOCK HUTCHISON (JACKSONVILLE.com, 10/6)....ESPN Senior Motorsports Producer NEIL GOLDBERG was arrested Tuesday for “peering into a neighbor’s window and masturbating while she was getting dressed.” Police said that Goldberg admitted to the crime. He posted bail and is scheduled to appear in court later this month (COURANT.com, 10/6). ESPN VP/Communications MIKE SOLTYS said that ESPN is "'looking into' the matter and Goldberg will be not be involved in weekend NASCAR coverage" (USA TODAY, 10/7).
