MUST REALLY BE COUNTING PREGNANT BALLOTS: STORM MOVES AHEAD

NBC's Hannah Storm "has stormed ahead" of CBS' Jill Arrington and Fox' Jillian Barberie in Playboy.com's "Hottest Sports Babe" poll and trails ABC's Melissa Stark by less than 4,000 votes, according to Tom Hoffarth of the L.A. DAILY NEWS. Hoffarth wonders if Storm's husband has anything to do with this and jests, "Check Dan Hicks' server, please" (L.A. DAILY NEWS, 12/15). In Philadelphia Bill Fleischman writes that "most of the nominees are having fun with" the Playboy.com poll, "but women in the media should be allowed to do their jobs without such sexist distractions" (PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS, 12/15). In Orlando, Mike Bianchi criticizes the "message coming from some of the highbrow media watchdogs who are blasting away at the TV networks for hiring attractive women sports broadcasters" is "shame on these women" for "having the audacity to be ... beautiful" (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 12/15).
