Of Baseball Talk and Live Rock" next Monday at the PARADISE
CLUB. The fund-raiser will feature performances by the PUSH
STARS, KAY HANLEY (JOSIE of JOSIE & THE PUSSYCATS), and BILL
JANOVITZ of BUFFALO TOM, as well as the "aptly named"
CARLTON FISK, THURMAN MUNSON and SLIDE bands. Proceeds will

CYCLING: U.S. Olympic Cyclist NICOLE FREEDMAN, forced
to live out of her van since returning from the Sydney Games
because CHARLES SCHWAB pulled its sponsorship of her pro
cycling team, received a $30,000 pledge from CA-based CREDIT
SUISSE FIRST BOSTON TECHNOLOGY GROUP, which read about her
plight in yesterday's USA TODAY (USA TODAY, 11/28).
