DIR OF PR, NATIONAL PROFESSIONAL SOCCER LEAGUE, WESTPORT, CT

          The National Professional Soccer League, the longest
     running North American soccer league, has an immediate
     opening for a Director of Public Relations.  That individual
     will report directly to the Commissioner of the league,
     which has relocated its headquarters to Westport, CT.  The
     candidate must have a minimum of 4-6 years experience in
     media relations, preferably with a professional team, league
     or college athletic department; excellent oral and written
     skills; and proficiency with Internet, word processing and
     computer skills.  The candidate will be responsible for all
     facets of the league's media relations efforts, including
     the writing, production and distribution of news releases,
     newsletters and league publications, as well as the
     maintenance of the league's web site.  Other
     responsibilities include maintaining the league's
     statistical records, photographic library and archives,
     while working closely with member teams to design and direct
     league-wide public relations campaigns that will maximize
     media outreach.  Salary commensurate with experience and
