RIVALS.COM SET TO LAUNCH $1M EFFORT ON FOX SPORTS, FSN

Rivals.com "will invest $1 million in national fourth
quarter advertising" on Fox Sports and FSN, according to
Becky Ebenkamp of BRANDWEEK. The new creative, via Wolfe
Doyle, S.F., shows a "men's-room visitor swapping his daily
newspaper for a laptop to better access sports information"
on Rivals' network of 600 sites. The tagline reads,
"Millions of passionate fans. Hundreds of in-depth sports
sites. One destination. Rivals.com. Inside your sport."
Rival Networks President Mark Shuken, on the effort: "People
know and love our (individual) sites, but we need to connect
them back to the [Rivals] brand." The ad will air "more
than a dozen times" on Fox Sports during NFL games in N.Y.,
Chicago, Detroit and Atlanta. Regional buys will run during
"various sporting events" on FSN (BRANDWEEK, 11/13 issue).
