GOING INSIDE THE DEMOS OF THE SUBWAY SERIES IN N.Y.

The ESPN Sports Poll, a product of TNS Intersearch,
asked about 1,000 MLB fans in the N.Y. DMA from September
'98-August '00 to name their favorite MLB team. The
following is a demo profile comparison of those that named
the Yankees and Mets as their favorite team, compared to
that of the N.Y. population. In the survey, 50% of
respondents in the N.Y. DMA said the Yankees were their
favorite team, and 20.4% named the Mets (ESPN Sports Poll).
