SUZUKI SET TO LEVERAGE SOPHOMORE SEASON AS HEISMAN SPONSOR

          American Suzuki Motor Corp. has launched a multi-
     million dollar ad campaign, its first national cross-
     divisional effort, around its second year as sponsor of the
     Heisman Trophy, which includes print, radio and video
     components, as well as an expanded "You Choose the Winner"
     sweeps.  The "Heisman Heroes"-themed print, radio and video
     components feature stories of 11 Heisman Trophy winners,
     including Doug Flutie, Roger Staubach, Tony Dorsett, Bo
     Jackson and Earl Campbell.  Print ads will run in SI
     throughout the college football season, and ads in SI and
     USA Today next month will include sweeps ballot entry forms. 
     The grand prize of the sweeps is a 2001 Suzuki Grand Vitara
     Limited Edition SUV and a trip for two to the 2001 Heisman
     Trophy ceremony in N.Y. (Suzuki).
          MORE COLLEGE NEWS: The SEC and Host Communications have
     signed a four-year contract extension, keeping Host as the
     conference's exclusive marketing partner through 2007.  The
     deal calls for expanded printing and publishing
     responsibilities, as well as radio opportunities, for Host. 
     Host has worked with the SEC since '89 (Host)....Amtrak has
     renewed its corporate partnership with the Big South
     Conference for the 2000-01 basketball season (Big South).
