IF PROPOSITION 302 PASSES IN AZ, WHAT'S IN THE CARDS?

The NFL Cardinals "will get revenue from tickets,
luxury suites, premium seats, concessions, signs and
parking" if Maricopa County voters pass Proposition 302 on
November 7, according to Lisa Chiu of the ARIZONA REPUBLIC.
Preliminary terms of the 30-year lease were made public
Tuesday during a meeting of the public Tourism and Sports
Authority (TSA), which "would operate and maintain" the
73,000-seat facility. TSA Chair Jim Grogan, on terms of the
lease: "It's more than fair ... This is much better than
what would be called industry standards." Chiu notes that
Grogan "praised" the Cardinals for agreeing to pay $250,000
per year in rent. Critics point out, however, that some
recent professional stadium deals required teams to pay
higher rent while giving the public "a cut of parking,
naming rights and sign revenue worth hundreds of millions of
dollars." Chiu adds that Cardinals reps declined to say how
much total projected revenue would be generated from the
     stadium (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 10/11).
