          The WWF is erecting atop its CT headquarters a 152-
     square foot sign depicting a football player to tout next
     February's launch of the XFL.  The player stands 9'6" and is
     "an imposing 16 feet wide, with a flexible face, internal
     illumination and 120 volts of power" (Stamford ADVOCATE,
     10/9)....In Toronto, Tom Tebbutt reports that Carlos Moya,
     the No. 45 ranked player on the ATP Tour, launched a line of
     his own cologne last Tuesday in Madrid.  The product will be
     sold in 40 countries, and its slogan is, "Life is the most
     exciting game."  Other promotional copy reads, "Fresh and at
     the same time exciting and sensual, which reflects the
     personality of Carlos" (Toronto GLOBE & MAIL, 10/10)....USA
     TODAY's Michael McCarthy reported that A-B, GM and Frito-Lay
     are "paying roughly" $12M each to return to sponsor CBS'
     "Survivor: The Australian Outback," "triple the $4[M] they
     and four others shelled out this season."  Reebok said the
     company's talks "are going well" (USA TODAY, 10/9).
