NEW VISION: DE LA HOYA PARTS WAYS WITH ARUM, HIRES PERENCHIO

          OSCAR DE LA HOYA has signed with Univision Sports,
     which will be the exclusive promoter of all his future
     fights (Univision).  Univision Chair & CEO JERRY PERENCHIO
     will handle De La Hoya's fights and the move marks
     Perenchio's return to promoting after more than 25 years. 
     De La Hoya's move comes after he filed suit last month
     against his promoter of eight years, Top Rank's BOB ARUM,
     seeking to end their contract, which has three years
     remaining on it (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 9/26).  De La Hoya: "We
     partnered with Jerry because his reputation speaks for
     itself."  Meanwhile, De La Hoya's new CD will be released
     next month, and he said he "will promote the disc 2-3 weeks
     straight, every day" (USA TODAY, 9/26).
