     1,008,000 homes.  "COV AREA" = % of homes tuned into that
     program in that network's universe of subscribers.
          HOLDING THEIR OWN VS. THE GAMES? ABC's "MNF" is
     averaging a 13.7/24 after three games, down 8% from last
     year's 14.9/25, but up 1% from a 13.6/22 in '98, the last
     time the NFL season began on Labor Day weekend.  On Monday,
     the Cowboys-Redskins game drew an average audience of 19.4
     million viewers. The "MNF" broadcast was up 6% among adults
     18-49 over NBC's Olympic coverage (8.7/24 to 8.2/23), 19%
     among adults 18-34 (8.0/24 to 6.7/21), 96% among men 18-34
     (10.6/32 to 5.4/17, 65% among men 18-49 (11.9/32 to 7.2/20)
     and 51% among men 25-54 (13.0/32 to 8.6/22) (ABC)....CBS'
     season-to-date NFL rating over three weekends is a 8.6/20,
     down 13% from last year's 9.9/23 through the same
     period....Fox' season-to-date NFL rating over three weekends
     is a 10.2/23, even with last year. Fox' doubleheader last
     weekend, going up against the Olympics, earned a 9.6/21,
     down 4% from '99's 10.0/23.  The early regional game was up
     29% from a 6.2/15 last year, while the late game was down
     18% from a 13.7/29...."MLB on Fox" is averaging a 2.8/9
     after 17 weeks, down 10% from last season's 2.9/9 through
     the same period....After three weeks, ABC's college football
     coverage is averaging a 4.0/6, down 13% from a 4.6/12 last
     year....NBC's three-game average for Univ. of ND football is
     4.4/12, up 38% from a 3.2/9 in '99 (THE DAILY).
