          For the first time in team history, the MLB Giants will
     outdraw the Dodgers at home.  On Monday, the team went over
     the three million fan mark, and the Giants are the first Bay
     Area sports team to reach the three million fans in a season
     (SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS, 9/19)...In St. Louis, Kathleen
     Nelson wrote that the Rams hosted nearly 1,000 women who
     participated in Football 101, the NFL's campaign to make
     women "better educated consumers."  Each participant paid
     $40, which will go to area shelters for battered women (ST.
     LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 9/19)....Trail Blazers coach Mike
     Dunleavy, on Owner Paul Allen: "We really don't hang out
     much together.  I don't see Paul very often.  I see him,
     obviously, at all our games" ("NBA Today," ESPN, 9/19).
