COMCAST, QVC ACQUIRE 19% OF GLOBAL SPORTS, OPTIONS FOR MORE

          Comcast and QVC have agreed to acquire five million
     common shares of Philadelphia-based Global Sports common
     stock at $8.15 per share in cash.  The $40.8M investment
     will give the companies a combined ownership interest in
     Global Sports of about 19% of the currently outstanding
     shares.  Additionally, Comcast and QVC have agreed to a
     $562,000 cash purchase of warrants to purchase an additional
     4.5 million shares of Global Sports stock at prices ranging
     from $8.15 to $10 per share.  The total investment in Global
     Sports, if all warrants are fully exercised, would be $82.1M
     and would represent a total ownership of about 26%.
     Meanwhile, Global Sports has signed a letter of intent with
     iQVC, QVC's e-commerce unit (Global Sports).
