sports-talk radio has returned to Baltimore's airwaves," as
syndicated sports talk radio host Nestor Aparicio is
"heading up a consortium of investors" to buy WNST-AM.
Aparicio: "I'll be a majority owner." Aparicio would not
confirm a bidding price, but said that it is "less than" the
$1.5M price that WNST sought last August. Aparicio will
continue to host a syndicated daily afternoon drive-time
show for One-on-One Network (Baltimore SUN, 9/13)....The
Trail Blazers have renewed their TV deal with KGW-NBC for
five years, through the 2004-05 season. KGW, which has been
the Blazers' TV home since the '92-93 season, will broadcast
26 of the team's games this season (OREGONIAN, 9/12).
