          NOTE: For broadcast numbers, one ratings point =
     1,008,000 homes.  "COV AREA" = % of homes tuned into that
     program in that network's universe of subscribers.
          RATINGS NOTES: CBS' opening-weekend regional coverage
     of the NFL on Labor Day weekend was down 5% from a 6.5/17
     opening-weekend rating also over Labor Day weekend in '98. 
     The Jets-Packers national game was up 5% from '98's Labor
     Day weekend.  But CBS' early regional action was down 44%
     from last season's opening-weekend rating, which produced a
     11.1/27 (THE DAILY).  Fox' opening-weekend rating was up 17%
     from '99's 9.9/22 rating for a doubleheader (Fox)...."MLB on
     Fox" is averaging a 2.8/9 through 15 weeks, down 7% from
     last season's 3.0/9 through the same point (Fox).
          OVERNIGHT WEEKEND RATINGS: The 5.0/12 Nielsen overnight
     rating for Saturday's Univ. of NE-Univ. of Notre Dame was
     NBC's highest overnight for a ND game since the '98 Notre
     Dame-Univ. of MI game earned a 5.9/15.  The broadcast was up
     43% from last year's comparable Notre Dame-MI State Univ.
     game, which earned a 3.5/9 (NBC)....DAILY VARIETY's Rick
     Kissell reports that Sunday's NFL overnight ratings on Fox
     and CBS "were down" from '99 comparable calendar weekend. 
     Fox's doubleheader -- primarily Bears-Bucs and Redskins-
     Lions, averaged an 11.1, off 15% from last year's 13.1 for
     the opening week.  CBS' 10.5 for its single-game coverage --
     primarily Raiders-Colts -- was down 13% from last year's
     12.0 for its opening weekend (DAILY VARIETY, 9/12).

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth.
