EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          FRIED'S NEW ROLE AT SFX SPORTS: The SPORTSBUSINESS
     JOURNAL's Andy Bernstein reports that FRED FRIED has
     replaced FRANK VUONO as SFX Sports Group Marketing Division
     President (see THE DAILY, 9/1).  Bernstein writes that Vuono
     "reached an exit agreement" with SFX that "will allow him to
     launch his own sports marketing company," and Vuono said
     that his first project will be "managing the business
     affairs" of the NFL QB Club.  Fried, on the transition: "I
     don't think you're going to see a tremendously discernible
     difference" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 9/11 issue).
          EXECS: XFL Chicago Enforcers VP & GM KEN VALDISERRI has
     resigned due to personal reasons (XFL)....CT-based Millsport
     promoted KATE ROSSI to Exec VP from VP/Account Supervisor. 
     Rossi, who has been with Millsport since '97, oversees the
     company's management support of Pepsi's sports sponsorships
     (Millsport)....The Trail Blazers promoted Production Manager
     DICK VARDANEGA to Dir of Broadcasting (Mult., 9/10)....The
     af2 Augusta Stallions on Thursday dismissed GM SCOTT SKADAN,
     Media Relations Dir JOHN BUTTS, Business Manager NANCY CROWE
     and Community Relations Dir HEATHER DUNAWAY.  Additionally,
     Assistant GM JORGE CIMADEVILLA accepted a corporate sales
     position with the XFL Orlando Rage (AUGUSTA CHRONICLE, 9/8).
