NOT STANDING PAT: JAGUARS "TWEAK" TICKET SALES PLAN

Entering their sixth NFL season, Jaguars execs
"continue to tweak their game plan for selling tickets" this
season, according to Earl Daniels of the FLORIDA TIMES-
UNION. Daniels notes that the Jaguars are "creating a two-
game ticket package" that includes a ticket to a "not-so-
important" preseason game and that of a "highly popular
regular season game," which is designed to "fill empty seats
in the upper decks and north end zone." In addition, the
Jaguars have "unleashed an additional sales force" to
approach companies about buying discounted tickets. The
team is also "considering a campaign that would designate"
sections of the stadium for fans of certain players.
Jaguars CFO Bill Prescott said that there are 61,000 season-
ticket holders at 73,000-seat Alltel Stadium, which is 1,500
"ahead of last year's figure" of 59,500. NFL
VP/Communications Greg Aiello: "Jacksonville has a unique
challenge because they have a larger stadium than most teams
and are in a small market, but they have done a tremendous
job of selling tickets" (FLORIDA TIMES-UNION, 8/11).
