DOLICH SAYS GRIZZLIES' TICKET PLAN COMING SOON

Grizzlies fans have been unable to purchase tickets during the team's ownership transition to Michael Heisley, according to Brad Ziemer of the VANCOUVER SUN. Grizzlies season-ticket holder Jack Scott: "I've been trying to buy two more tickets but they apparently can't assign seats yet. ... I don't know what is happening." Scott also said that there has "been little in the way of communication from the team's new ownership." Scott: "We've had nothing other than a 'hello, how are you' letter. We've had nothing in relation to prices or anything like that." Grizzlies President of Business Operations Andy Dolich said that the delay is due to Heisley's late closing and the fact that he just recently joined the team in June. Dolich: "We wanted to take a step back before taking two forward. We will be communicating with the season-ticket holders early next week in terms of our schedule of renewal notices." Dolich acknowledged there would be a "modest" price increase in some ticket categories for next season (VAN. SUN, 7/28).
