NIKE ACG LAUNCHES OUTDOOR CROSS-TRAINER AROUND SNOWBOARDER

          Nike ACG has launched a signature line of outdoor
     cross-training shoes around U.S. Olympic snowboarder Barrett
     Christy.  The Air Barrett Christy, the first Nike ACG 
     signature shoe line designed for an athlete, is slated to
     hit retail in spring 2001, and its launch will be supported
     by marketing and sales efforts aimed at female consumers. 
     The product is currently available at NikeTown and some Nike
     ACG retail partners for around $70.  The shoe is available
     in four colors, with additional colors planned for the
     future.  The creative team behind the product was almost
     exclusively female, including the designer and product
     development team (Nike).
