          In Dallas, Andy Hood reported that cycling team sponsor
     USPS is "pulling out the red carpet for dozens of people who
     will help celebrate what everyone is hoping" is Lance
     Armstrong's second-consecutive Tour de France victory. 
     After the race's finale, more than 200 people will attend an
     "invitation-only party, including riders, friends, family
     and corporate sponsors" (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 7/16).
     ...Fogdog.com is running a consumer sweeps around this
     week's British Open.  The winner will play the 18th hole of
     Carnoustie with Fogdog endorser Jean Van de Velde, who lost
     a three-shot lead there in the final round of the tournament
     last year (USA TODAY, 7/17)....In Baltimore, Don Markus
     profiled Tiger Woods, and quotes Univ. of OR Warsaw Sports
     Marketing Center Dir Rick Burton as saying, "[Woods is]
     Elvis.  We found Elvis and he looks like Tiger Woods. ...
     But I also think Tiger is closer to the face of who the
     world will look like in the future.  The world won't be
     black or white, it will be all graduations of black and
     white.  Tiger is the first athlete who can't be defined
     racially" (Baltimore SUN, 7/16).
