WHAT'S YOUR PRIORITY? FOR ROMNEY WILL IT BE THE BIG WIGS?

The SLOC Board of Trustees approved a ticketing plan
presented yesterday by SLOC President & CEO Mitt Romney that
allows government and Olympic officials "priority status" in
purchasing tickets to the 2002 Winter Games, according to
Lori Buttars of the SALT LAKE TRIBUNE. Buttars: "The
committee gave its blessing, but left Romney to define
exactly what 'priority' status would entail." Romney: "Is
that before the public has a chance to purchase them? After
the first public offering? Those are the things that still
need to be decided." Buttars notes that the new plan
"places dignitaries in categories that offer varying degrees
of access" to venues, seating and hospitality areas. Romney
"stressed" consideration would be given only to those "who
oversee us and those who we want to represent us" at the
     Games (SALT LAKE TRIBUNE, 7/14).
