MARKETPLACE ROUND-UP

In Buffalo, Sharon Linstedt reported that Flutie Flakes
will "hit supermarket shelves in early August in a new red,
white and blue box." Melissa Heher, VP of PLB Sports, the
marketer of the product, said, "We've ordered 50,000 of the
red, white and blue boxes and will order more as demand
dictates." About 2.2 million boxes of "Flutie Flakes" have
been sold since the product launched in '98 (BUFFALO NEWS,
7/7)....Canadian Olympic biathlete Myriam Bedard has
"reached an out-of-court settlement" with Wrigley Canada,
which "doctored a photo" of Bedard for an ad campaign
without her permission (see THE DAILY, 1/18). Bedard said
that the photo "made her look ridiculous." Terms of the
settlement were not released (NATIONAL POST, 7/8).
