NO BELO-NEY: COMPANY TO SELL MAVS, ARENA STAKE TO CUBAN

Dallas-based Belo Corp. announced yesterday that it
"will sell three of its smaller newspapers as well as" its
12.38% stake in the Mavericks and 6.19% share in American
Airlines Center, according to John Kirkpatrick of the
DALLAS MORNING NEWS. Belo has "an oral agreement" to sell
its shares of the Mavericks and the $300M arena for $34.5M

the sale "will bring" the company a pre-tax gain of "about"
     $10M (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 6/28).
