TBS ANNOUNCERS NOT LEAVING ON THE BRAVES' JET PLANE TODAY

The Braves, "angry" that TBS aired video Saturday
showing that the Turner Field catcher's box "had been
altered," have "banned" the net's announcers from the team's
chartered flights, according to Carroll Rogers of the
ATLANTA CONSTITUTION. TBS' Skip Caray, Joe Simpson, Don
Sutton and Pete Van Wieren "usually fly" with the team, but
they will now travel on commercial flights, beginning with
today's trip to Montreal (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 6/27).
While Time Warner is the parent to both the team and TBS,
TBS "was quiet on the issue, because it is caught between
defending its broadcasters and producers without causing
more friction with the Braves" (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 6/27).
