EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          GUTKOWSKI GOES WORLDWIDE: Former MSG President & CEO
     and The Marquee Group Founder BOB GUTKOWSKI was named
     President & CEO of Worldwide Entertainment & Sports (WWES). 
     Meanwhile, CAK Universal Credit Chair CHARLES KOPPELMAN was
     named WWES Chair.  Former Worldwide Entertainment & Sports
     Chair & CEO MARC ROBERTS has resigned, but will continue to
     serve as a consultant (WWES).
          OTHER MOVES: BRANDWEEK's Terry Lefton reports that
     former Champs Senior VP/Marketing IAN GOMAR has been named
     North American President of Toronto-based Bata, which
     manufactures and sells footwear throughout Canada.  Lefton
     also reports that former CART President of Licensed Products
     JONATHAN FRANK is joining whatshotnow.com, a merchandising
     and licensing site (BRANDWEEK, 6/19 issue).....ESPN Magazine
     Editor-In-Chief JOHN PAPANEK was promoted to Senior VP. 
     Papanek will continue his role as Editor-in-Chief and will
     also edit and oversee a new magazine section within ESPN.com
     (ESPN Magazine)....Millsport announced the formation of
     Millsport Motorsports and named MICHAEL BARTELLI as VP,
     where he will manage the new division, assist in the
     development and leveraging of the motorsports sponsorship
     activities and supervise the motorsports business
     development (Millsport).
