EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          USOC MOVEMENT: The USOC named BENITA FITZGERALD MOSLEY
     Dir of PR Programs and GAIL DENT Manager of PR Programs. 
     Mosley, a 100-meter gold medalist at the '84 L.A. Games, had
     served as the Dir of the USOC's Training Centers, while Dent
     has been the Assistant Dir of Media & PR for the past three
     years.  In other news, the USOC promoted J. MICHAEL WILSON
     to the newly formed position of Dir of Athlete Relations. 
     Wilson was previously Dir of the Olympic Visitor Center and
     Community Relations (USOC).
          EXECS: The PGA Tour hired MATTHEW IPSAN as Exec
     Producer for PGATour.com (PGATour.com)....The Royals
     formally named ALLARD BAIRD as their new GM, replacing HERK
     ROBINSON, who will remain as team COO.  Baird has been
     Royals VP & Assistant GM for Baseball Operations for the
     past 12 years (BLOOMBERG NEWS, 6/18)....The Chargers named
     KIMBERLEY LAYTON to the new position of Dir of Public
     Affairs and Corporate/Community Relations.  Layton has been
     the Chief of Staff for San Diego Mayor SUSAN GOLDING since
     '98 (Chargers)....Former MLS Burn player BRIAN HAYNES was
     hired by the team as Manager of Community Programs.  Haynes
     has been with the team since its inaugural season in '96
     (DMN, 6/18)....The Harlem Globetrotters named GOVONER VAUGHN
     Dir of Alumni Relations (Globetrotters).
