MANAGEMENT PROMOTIONS HIGHLIGHT NHL REORGANIZATION

          The NHL made several management promotions as part of
     the reorganization of its business units.  NHLE will
     continue as a distinct business unit responsible for all
     consumer product licensing, marketing and corporate
     sponsorship, game and fan development businesses and global
     brand initiatives under Exec VP & COO JON LITNER.  ED HORNE
     has been promoted to President of NHLE, and will report to
     Litner.  Within NHLE, BRIAN JENNINGS was promoted to Group
     VP/Consumer Products Marketing, while ANDREW JUDELSON was
     promoted to VP/Corporate Marketing and ALYSSE SOLL has been
     promoted to VP/Fan Development, reporting to Horne.    The
     NHL's broadcasting department will be divided into three
     reporting units -- each reporting to Litner.  NHL
     Broadcasting & Programming will be headed by ADAM ACONE, NHL
     Scheduling Operations & Research will be headed by STEVE
     HATZE PETROS and NHL Productions will be led by Exec
     Producer KEN ROSEN and VP PATTI FALLICK.  Group VP FRANK
     SUPOVITZ will direct the league's Special Events &
     Entertainment unit, while DOUG PERLMAN was promoted to Group
     VP/Media Ventures & Strategic Development, a new unit
     reporting to Litner.  Meanwhile, Exec VP & CLO BILL DALY, in
     addition to his current duties, will assume responsibility
     for all int'l businesses, which will be consolidated into a
     single unit, NHL Int'l.  The unit will be managed by Group
     VP/Managing Dir KEN YAFFE.  Also, Senior VP & CFO CRAIG
     HARNETT was promoted to Exec VP & CFO (NHL).
