EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          The WALL STREET JOURNAL's John Lippman cites sources as
     saying that News Corp. "plans to name" co-COO CHASE CAREY to
     lead a new entity called Platco, a satellite TV venture the
     company is creating with plans for an IPO.  Platco is
     "envisioned" as a venture to offer video, data and Internet
     access to people in their homes either directly or via local
     cable systems (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 6/12)....FSN promoted
     SHELLY HARPER from Dir of Programming to VP/Scheduling &
     Program Operations.  Harper joined FSN in '96 (FSN)....DP
     Fox Sports & Entertainment named SCOTT GORSLINE as COO. 
     Gorsline has been with the company since '95.  Gorsline will
     be responsible for all of the operational aspects of the
     four franchises managed by the company -- the IHL Blades and
     Griffins and the AFL Wranglers and Rampage (DP Fox Sports &
     Entertainment)....Nike Golf named KURT HEIMBACH as Product
     Line Manager of Men's Apparel.  Heimbach previously worked
     for Nike Golf Europe (GOLFWEEK, 6/9).
