          NOTES: In Toronto, Steve Simmons reported that IMG has
     "dropped" Canadian snowboarder Ross Rebagliati as a client
     (TORONTO SUN, 5/28)....MLB has selected N.Y.-based Arthur
     Andersen "to authenticate selected baseball memorabilia to
     try to reduce the amount of fraudulent collectible
     merchandise."  MLB said that the company will "eventually
     authenticate" player jerseys and autographs (BLOOMBERG,
     5/30)....Visa has become an Official Sponsor of the WISL, as
     well as a presenter for the WISL's Int'l Series, which
     begins July 15 and features U.S. and int'l all-star teams
     (AD AGE, 5/30)....ABC's Jim Williams examined student
     activists pressuring Nike concerning workers' rights and
     conditions in its overseas-contracted factories.  Nike Dir
     of Global Issues Management Vada Manager: "We certainly
     don't believe that we should be the target of anti-sweatshop
     activities when we have taken so many steps to ensure that
     workers are treated fairly" ("World News Tonight," 5/29).
