ESPN SELLS SHARE IN EUROSPORT TO FOCUS ON EUROPEAN GROWTH

          French TV broadcaster TF1 and pay TV operator Canal
     Plus "have bought out" ESPN's 33% stake in sports channel
     Eurosport Int'l and its 10% stake in Eurosport France,
     according to Barbara Giudice of DAILY VARIETY.  ESPN
     President George Bodenheimer said that the company "will
     concentrate on establishing the ESPN brand in Europe."  The
     $155M buyout increases TF1's stake in Eurosport to 50.5%,
     while Canal Plus increases its stake to 49.5%.  Eurosport is
     "one of the largest Europeanwide TV networks, broadcasting
     in 18 languages to 47 countries" (DAILY VARIETY, 5/23).
