EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          adidas-Salomon AG has appointed ROSS MCMULLIN as
     President of adidas America, effective July 17.  McMullin
     will report directly to adidas-Salomon COO HERBERT HAINER. 
     Most recently, McMullin was President of the Gillette Group
     Central Europe (adidas-Salomon)....Times Mirror Magazines
     promoted JASON KLEIN to CEO.  In December, Klein was named
     President & COO of Times Mirror Magazines and was later
     named Times Mirror VP (Times Mirror Magazines)....In
     Toronto, Tony Maraschiello reports that NHL Group
     VP/Broadcasting GLENN ADAMO is "leaving his position at the
     end of the playoffs" (TORONTO SUN, 5/19)....The MLBPA named
     NANCY WILLIS as Category Manager for Licensed Apparel, where
     she will oversee all aspects of the Player's Choice
     licensing program.  Willis was National Merchandise Manager
     for stadiums and arenas at Aramark Sports (MLBPA).
     ...BRANDWEEK's Terry Lefton profiles MLBP's JUSTIN JOHNSON
     and JOHN BRODY, who were recently promoted to Dirs of
     Corporate Sponsorship (BRANDWEEK, 5/15).  KEITH WALTZ was
     named Senior Manager of PR at Lowe's Motor Speedway,
     replacing HOLLY STONER, who has joined Ketchum PR.  Waltz
     was PR Rep. and Business Manager for Darrell Waltrip
     Motorsports (Lowe's Motor Speedway)....The NHL Blue Jackets
     named TERRI MURPHY as Dir of Client Services and SCOTT KLEIN
     as Account Exec (Blue Jackets)....Former KGMB-TV (HI) Sports
     Dir NEIL EVERETT will join ESPN as a sports anchor with a
     four-year package worth $400,000 (HONOLULU STAR-BULLETIN,
     5/17)....JO JO WHITE joined the Celtics front office as Dir
     of Special Operations.  White will have responsibilities
     within basketball operations, marketing and community
     relations (BLOOMBERG NEWS, 5/18)....GREG POST, former
     Assistant PR Dir with the Bruins, has been named PR Dir for
     the Portland (ME) Pirates (BOSTON GLOBE, 5/19).
