          CART QUARTER REPORT: For its first quarter, CART earned
     $2M, or $0.13 per share, on revenue of $7.84M, up from
     earning $1.6M, or $0.11 per share, on revenue of $7.34M for
     the same quarter in '99 (DETROIT FREE PRESS, 4/27). 
          GOLF DEALS: TX-based ClubCorp has joined with GA-based
     Harbinger Corp. to form ePurchase.net, an "electronic
     marketplace for the hotel, resort and golf industries." 
     ePurchase.net will "link buyers and sellers of golf-course
     maintenance equipment, food and beverage services, and other
     hospitality industry staples" (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 4/26).
     ...The WALL STREET JOURNAL reported that SC-based REIT Golf
     Trust of America, "one of the country's largest golf-course
     owners, is shopping for a buyer."   The company owns stakes
     in 47 golf courses in 16 states (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 4/26).
