2002 OLYMPICS IN GOOD CARDINAL HEALTH WITH NEW SPONSORSHIP

          OH-based Cardinal Health was named Wednesday as an
     Official Supplier to the 2002 Olympic Games and Paralympic
     Games, as well as an Official Supplier of the U.S. Olympic
     Teams for 2000, 2002 and 2004.  Cardinal Health and its
     subsidiary, Allegiance Healthcare Corporation, will provide
     a variety of health-care products and services (USOC).  In
     UT, Jerry Spangler wrote that the value of the "suppliership
     was not indicated, but is believed to be within the range
     of" $5-10M.  The companies' products and services will be
     used "at about" 150 locations ranging from a medical clinic
     at the athlete village to first-aid stations at competition
     and non-competition venues.  Cardinal Health becomes the
     34th corporate participant (17 at the sponsorship level and
     17 at the supplier level) for the 2002 Winter Games.  Since
     May '99, 21 companies have signed agreements with SLOC and
     joint marketing group OPUS (DESERET NEWS, 4/19).
