FALK VENTURE JOINS MANDALAY ON SPORTS/ENTERTAINMENT UNIT

          New Urban Entertainment (NUE), a joint venture between
     SFX Entertainment and Space Station TV (SSTV), has joined
     Mandalay Sports Entertainment (MSE) to form Mandalay Sports
     & Urban Entertainment (MSUE).  The new entity will operate
     under the MSE banner, and NUE's Kip and Kern Konwiser will
     head the operation as President and Exec VP, respectively. 
     Upcoming MSUE projects include the TNT original film, "On
     Hallowed Ground," which airs May 6 and chronicles the
     basketball and experiences of the famed Rucker Park in
     Harlem (MSE).  In L.A., Sallie Hofmeister wrote that MSUE
     "aims to create programming for network and cable
     television, the Internet and theaters."  The venture "will
     be equally owned" by MSE and NUE.  Guber, on the venture:
     "This is part of a strategy to migrate the experience of
     live sports to a wider orbit" (L.A. TIMES, 4/14).
