THEY'VE GOT A NEW BLUE ATTITUDE: RAMS CHANGE UNIFORMS

The Rams unveiled new uniforms yesterday for the 2000-
01 season, according to Jim Thomas of the ST. LOUIS POST-
DISPATCH, who wrote the "primary" color of royal blue on the
old uniform "is out," while navy blue "is in." Also, the
"canary yellow of past seasons has been replaced by a more
traditional 'Notre Dame-style' gold." Instead of placing
numbers on the jersey sleeves, the new uniforms will feature
a "menacing-looking Rams head." The "biggest change" will
have the Rams wearing three styles of pants - white, gold
and blue. The team's helmets will remain the same (ST.
LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 4/12). Also in St. Louis, Becky Homan,
noting that "about" 500 fans attended the uniform unveiling,
writes that the new team colors are "technically" Pantone
No. 282, a dark navy blue, and Pantone No. 873, a metallic
     gold (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 4/13).
