MEDIA NOTES

          TV MONITOR: Last night's 10:00pm ET edition of FSN's
     "Fox Sports News" and the 11:00pm ET editions of ESPN's
     "SportsCenter" and CNN/SI's "Sports Tonight" all led with
     Mets-Cubs, followed by Raptors-Nets.  "Fox Sports News"
     reported on the Wake Forest-Notre Dame NIT Final at 27:32
     into the broadcast, "SportsCenter," which televised the
     game, at 16:41 and "Sports Tonight" at 21:11 (THE DAILY).   
          AWARDS: Among the media outlets receiving recognition
     by the 59th annual George Foster Peabody Awards are: ESPN's
     "SportsCentury" series, marking the network's first Peabody
     Award, and HBO Sports, for its two documentaries "Dare to
     Compete: The Struggle of Women in Sports," and "Fists of
     Freedom: The Story of the '68 Summer Games" (THE DAILY).

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown. SBJ’s Tom Friend also joins the show to share his insights into NBA viewership trends.
