FIRM BUYS STAKE IN AR MINOR LEAGUE TEAMS; BANDITS GET OWNER

          AR-based communications firm Equity Broadcasting Corp.
     has purchased a 49% stake in AR Sports Entertainment (ASE),
     which owns the af2 Twisters and ECHL RiverBlades.  Terms of
     the deal were not disclosed.  Equity acquired the share from
     Canadian business exec Tim Berryman, who has resigned as the
     company's VP & COO and Twisters GM.  Dave Berryman, Tim's
     brother, will retain majority ownership of ASE and continue
     to serve as its President & CEO, while also becoming
     Twisters GM (ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE, 3/29).
          SILVER BANDITS SOLD: Las Vegas business exec Jackie
     Robinson has purchased 90% of the IBL Silver Bandits, who
     had been owned by the league.  Terms were not disclosed. 
     Robinson's partners include the Las Vegas Review-Journal and
     TNT NBA analyst Reggie Theus (L.V. REVIEW-JOURNAL, 3/30).
