WHAT'S THE SPEEDO LIMIT? COMPANY SHOULD GET PUB IN PROMO

Speedo Int'l said yesterday that it will make its new
     "high-tech ... controversial neck-to-ankle" swimsuit, called
"Fastskin," available free to "all competitive swimmers,"
after "allegations" from some "Olympic-bound competitors"
that Speedo-sponsored swimmers would have an "unfair
advantage by wearing the suit during the Olympic season,"
according to James Christie of the Toronto GLOBE & MAIL.
Christie writes that the "giveaway could cost" Speedo
between C$2-4M worth of the product, but the "advertising
value is priceless," as the "competitors' clotheshorses want
to try" the suits because "they've heard anecdotal reports"
that they "allow" swimmers to make a 3% improvement in their
times (Toronto GLOBE & MAIL, 3/29).
