          Packers execs "met privately" yesterday with WI Senate
     Majority Leader Chuck Chvala and afterward, Chvala said that
     he is "optimistic that the Senate will complete work on the
     Lambeau Field bill before adjourning Thursday," the last day
     of the legislative session.  Chvala: "We're moving in the
     right direction" (GREEN BAY PRESS-GAZETTE, 3/29)....The
     Marlins' proposal to finance their new ballpark with a $4
     per passenger per day cruise-ship tax "sailed through" its
     first Senate committee yesterday "amid a storm of lobbying"
     and advertising from lawmakers.  The bill now goes to the FL
     Senate's Governmental Operations Committee (MIAMI HERALD,
     3/29)....Lowe's Motor Speedway (LMS) sold $45,000 worth of
     tickets to 240 customers during the first 17 days of this
     month that it made tickets for its May races available
     online (GASTON GAZETTE, 3/29)....Continental Airlines Arena
     Senior VP Robert Castronovo said that if the Nets and Devils
     leave for a new arena in Newark, "he would look for a minor
     league franchise in any sport" to fill dates.  He also said
     that he'd "seek out long runs of popular children's shows
     such as Rugrats and Barney" (Bergen RECORD, 3/29).
