EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          RANDY FREER was promoted to the newly created position
     of Exec VP at Fox Sports Net.  Freer, who was Exec VP/Ad
     Sales since joining the net in '97, "will oversee day-to-day
     operations as well as look at ways in which the network can
     grow, integrate with and leverage other News Corp. entities"
     (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 3/28)....Octagon named ALASDAIR RITCHIE
     as worldwide President & COO of Octagon Marketing, while
     Octagon Deputy Chair FRANK CRAIGHILL takes on the role of
     worldwide Chair of Octagon Marketing (Octagon)....HOK Sports
     Facilities Group announced that Principal & Founding Partner
     RON LABINSKI will retire on April 7.  He will remain of
     counsel and will continue to be involved in selected
     activities (HOK Sports Facilities Group)....BRANDWEEK's
     Terry Lefton reports that JERRY CANNING is leaving Turner
     Client Solutions Group, N.Y., after two years to become Dir
     of Sponsorships at Iwon.com (BRANDWEEK, 3/27 issue)....
     American Skiing Co. named WILLIAM FAIR as COO and President
     of ASC Resorts.  Fair was most recently President of
     Universal Studios' Port Aventura theme park in Spain (ASC).
