GIVE ME HEAD OF HAIR, LONG BEAUTIFUL HAIR! ARE DEALS CUT?

In London, Guy Patrick reported that sales of the David
Beckham-endorsed haircare product Brylcreem have "plunged"
25% since the Manchester United player "had his head shaved"
(see THE DAILY, 3/21). U.K. grocery story chain Tesco was
"so concerned" about the sales drop that it "slashed prices
of some jars" of the Brylcreem product "in half." A Tesco
spokesperson told the London SUN: "Sales soared when Beckham
signed the contract with Brylcreem but now he has lost his
hair and we're losing sales. We're cutting the price so
sales grow back quicker than his hair" (London SUN, 3/23).
ROGAINE? In Denver, Sam Adams writes that "apparently"
Jazz F Karl Malone "gave up on his Rogaine endorsements," as
Malone has recently shaved his head (ROCKY MTN NEWS, 3/24).
