          NIKE: Nike's "Bracketville" ad campaign around the NCAA
     basketball tournaments "is the talk of" of the town in
     Brackettville, TX.  Brackettville City Manager David Luna
     said the town's "in an uproar over [the ads].  Everyone here
     is thrilled about it. ... People call me and they say, 'We
     saw (Brackettville) on TV.  How did you do it?'  They hear
     'Brackettville' and don't pay attention to the rest of the
     ad.  I'm egging it on because it's good for the community"
     (Tom Orsborn, SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS, 3/23)....In a
     "unanimous verdict" on  Monday, a CA State Appeals Court
     "sustained a lower court's move" in '99 and "dismissed a
     civil lawsuit charging" Nike with "lying about conditions in
     its Asian factories, saying the issue did not touch on state
     laws banning false advertising" (REUTERS, 3/22).
          NOTES: The Predators have "added a second night of bike
     giveaways to the schedule" (See THE DAILY, 3/9).  The team,
     which gave away 4,000 bikes on March 12, will offer all fans
     in attendance for its game against the Islanders next
     Tuesday the chance to register to win one of 1,000 bikes
     (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 3/23)....An "action shot" of former
     U.S. Olympic speedskater Bonnie Blair "is to adorn a big
     section" of a Delta Airlines jet as part of a Delta promo
     "tied to the 2002 Winter Olympics" (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL
     SENTINEL, 3/23)....MLS Fusion D and '99 league Rookie of the
     Year Jay Heaps signed an exclusive rep deal with L.A.-based
     SportsNet Marketing & Management (SportsNet)....Action
     Performance signed an exclusive, three-year licensing pact 
     with IRL driver Al Unser Jr. and Galles ECR Racing Team. 
     Action receives the rights to market and distribute Unser-
     and Galles-licensed merchandise through 2002 (Action).
