NIKE: Nike's "Bracketville" ad campaign around the NCAA
basketball tournaments "is the talk of" of the town in
Brackettville, TX. Brackettville City Manager David Luna
said the town's "in an uproar over [the ads]. Everyone here
is thrilled about it. ... People call me and they say, 'We
saw (Brackettville) on TV. How did you do it?' They hear
'Brackettville' and don't pay attention to the rest of the
ad. I'm egging it on because it's good for the community"

"unanimous verdict" on Monday, a CA State Appeals Court
"sustained a lower court's move" in '99 and "dismissed a
civil lawsuit charging" Nike with "lying about conditions in
its Asian factories, saying the issue did not touch on state
