ESPN AND CLASSIC TO AIR COVERAGE OF KINGDOME DESTRUCTION

          ESPN and ESPN Classic "will carry special coverage" of
     the "implosion" of the Kingdome this Sunday, as well as a
     "marathon of programming" that begins at 5:00pm PT on
     Saturday, according to the SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER.  ESPN
     anchor and Seattle native Kenny Mayne will host the one-hour
     Sunday special at 8:00am PT on ESPN Classic, the "first live
     event ever televised" by ESPN Classic. "SportsCenter" will
     also "cut in for live coverage" of the event.  The broadcast
     "will feature a lengthy" interview with Reds CF Ken Griffey
     Jr. and a "live satellite" interview with Seattle P-I sports
     columnist Art Thiel.  On-set guests will include former
     Sonics C Jack Sikma and G Slick Watts and former Seahawks QB
     Dave Krieg (SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER, 3/20).
