XFL WRESTLES AWAY BURN EXEC HICKS FOR VP/ADMINISTRATION

          MLS Burn President & GM BILLY HICKS has been named
     VP/Administration for the XFL.  Hicks, who joined the Burn
     in '95, will remain with the team for the next month before
     taking his new post (Burn).  Hicks will oversee all day-to-
     day administrative operations of the XFL, which is scheduled
     to launch in February 2001 (XFL).  MLS COO MARK ABBOTT said
     that the search for a successor "will begin immediately"
     (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 2/29).  Hicks, on the Burn: "We are a
     very stable and mature organization for a four-year-old
     baby.  We've got the best TV deal we've ever had in place,
     our highest sponsorship numbers ever are foreclosing and the
     team on field has a chance to win it all.  It's something
     I'm confident that I'm leaving at a good time and everything
     is in great shape" (FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 2/29).
