IHL LUMBERJACKS ON THE BLOCK; IS GORDON GUND POSSIBLE BUYER?

          IHL Cleveland Lumberjacks Owner Larry Gordon has
     retained McDonald Investments "to find a potential buyer"
     for the team, according to Amy Rosewater of the Cleveland
     PLAIN DEALER.  Lumberjacks President Kerry Bubolz said that
     the team "would like to have a deal completed within" two to
     six months, so the new owner can "be in place for the start"
     of the 2000-01 season.  Rosewater writes that a possible
     buyer is Cavaliers Owner Gordon Gund.  Cavs CEO Jim Boland,
     on a potential deal: "We do have right of first refusal. 
     We'll have to analyze the situation."  Rosewater notes that
     IHL franchises "have been purchased" for between $6-8M, but
     there's "no telling whether the Lumberjacks would fall in
     the same ballpark" (Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, 2/24).
