ONLINE NEWS & NOTES: WELCOME, YOU'VE GOT SWIMSUIT MODELS

          AOL, as part of its recent merger with Time Warner,
     will host the "exclusive online unveiling" of the cover of
     the 2000 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.  AOL members
     will be able to view the cover on February 21 before it hits
     newsstands later next week, as well as participate in online
     chats with the models (AD AGE, 2/18)....Canada native and
     Mavericks G Steve Nash will appear at the launch of Canada
     Basketball's new Web site at www.basketball.ca. tomorrow in
     Toronto.  Nash will also provide a link to the site from
     www.SteveNash.net, which will also launch tomorrow (Toronto
     GLOBE & MAIL, 2/18)....SportsLine announced that it has
     reached a deal to become a sports partner for FT.com, the
     Financial Times' Web site.  The co-branded channel will be
     located at www.sportsline.ft.com, and both SportsLine and
     its majority-owned subsidiary Sports.com will provide sports
     news and information (SportsLine).
