EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          CHRIS ACKERLEY was named co-President of the Ackerley
     Group as well as a member of the BOD (SEATTLE POST-
     INTELLIGENCER, 2/17)....Action Sports Media named RALPH
     MCBARRON as VP & GM.  McBarron, who was previously Dir of
     University Projects for ESPN Regional, will manage sales and
     operations in his new role (Action Sports Media)....MIKE
     PARNELL will step down as Oakley Vice Chair to concentrate
     his efforts toward the Nephrogenic Diabetes Insipidus
     Foundation.  Parnell will remain as an outside Dir with the
     Board (Oakley)....SALLY MURDOCH was named PR Manager for CO-
     based Airwalk Int'l.  Murdoch was previously Advertising/PR
     Manager for adidas Golf (THE DAILY)....DANA SCHMITT was
     named VP & General Counsel of MI-based General Sports &
     Entertainment.  Schmitt was an attorney with Chicago-based
     Blatt, Hammesfahr & Eaton (DETROIT FREE PRESS, 2/15).
