PUMA GOES NORTH OF THE BORDER IN CFL ON-FIELD LICENSING PUSH

          Puma has signed a deal to become the "exclusive apparel
     supplier" to the CFL, according to the CP.  The company will
     "provide clubs with a new line of" headwear, coach's shirts
     and summer and winter jackets this season.  In addition,
     Puma will be the official game jersey supplier for the CFL
     teams in Montreal, Calgary, Hamilton and Winnipeg.  adidas
     will continue to provide CFL teams with footwear, gloves and
     practice-wear and will also "create a line of game jerseys"
     and licensed merchandise for the Toronto, Saskatchewan,
     Edmonton and BC franchises (CP, 2/15).
