          TV MONITOR: Last night's 10:00pm ET edition of FSN's
     "Fox Sports News" (only 30 minutes due to college
     basketball) led with Ken Griffey, Jr. being traded to the
     Reds, followed by first round coverage of the Buick
     Invitational.  Last night's 11:00pm ET edition of ESPN's
     "SportsCenter" (late due to college basketball) led with the
     Griffey trade, followed by Dolphins QB Dan Marino voiding
     the last two years of his contract.  Last night's 11:00pm ET
     edition of CNN/SI's "Sports Tonight" led with the Griffey
     trade, followed by the Buick Invitational (THE DAILY).
          NOTES: In Toronto, William Houston reports that CBC's
     "Hockey Night In Canada" was "affected by some layoffs
     yesterday" in the network's "latest round of budgetary
     cuts."  But "HNIC" Exec Producer John Shannon said that
     staff reduction "will be minimal" (GLOBE & MAIL, 2/11)....In
     Milwaukee, WJDT-CBS GM Jim Hall, on the station electing to
     carry Monday's final round of the Pebble Beach National Pro-
     Am: "We certainly got phone calls.  The 'People's Court'
     viewers right away called in" (JOURNAL SENTINEL, 2/11).
